EYE HEALTH: Another Reason it's Great Spring is Here

A recent University of Cambridge report has shown the world is growing myopic (short sighted) and more than one study has shown that this may be related to not spending enough time outdoors.

The incidence of this myopia is soaring in industrialized countries and it appears that we're spending far too little time outdoors. It's not actually all the reading or computer work that causes it, it's just something about being outdoors that helps.

Sunday Picnic anyone?

They are style gurus of the future, creating their own look rather than having it created for them. Young Wills wearers are the future when it comes to promoting fashion eyewear and facial accessories." - Robert William Morris

SPECIAL: RNZFB Special - Donate your Old Glasses & get $50 Off New Ones.....

The Royal NZ Foundation of the Blind is a organisation Occhiali is proud to support. So for October 2011 to raise funds for Blind Week, Occhiali are donating $1.00 from every comprehensive eye exam done to them. This will help the RNZFB with their support of visually impaired New Zealanders.

We also want to raise awareness of VOSO (Volunteer Ophthalmic Services Overseas) who provide eyecare and second hand eyewear to those in need in the pacific. For the month of October if you bring in an old pair of glasses that you no longer wear we'll pass them on to VOSO and give you a $50 voucher to use on your next pair of glasses from Occhiali.

Blind Week this year is October 25th - 31st and to find out other ways you can get involved, including the Bake a Difference Details, visit the Foundations Website.
