At Occhiali we're all for making your eyes look great with make up but we just wanted to share a few tips to keep your eyes healthy when you do wear make up from this month's Mivision Magazine:
- Always wash your hands prior to applying make up or inserting contact lenses
- Insert your contact lenses prior to applying make up
- Avoid sharing make up or utensils with others, and don't use products designed for another part of the face for the eye area
- Clean all make up applicator brushes and applicators by regularly washing them and drying thoroughly
- Sharpen eye pencils every few days and use a tissue to wipe bacteria of the pencil tip before replacing the cover
- Replace eye make up products every six months, and mascara every three months
- If you get an infection dispose any products that came into contact with the eye around the time of the infection
