EYE HEALTH: Do your Children wear Sunglasses?

According to the World Health Organisation, up to 80% of UV exposure occurs before the age of 18. Protecting young skin from the sun has become second nature for most parents but it's not the case when it comes to eyes.

A study published today by the College of Optometrists in the UK, found that 29% of parents do not buy sunglasses for their children, whereas 76% said they make sure they apply suncream to their child’s skin.

Of those parents who do buy sunglasses for their children almost half (46%) put cost ahead of protection, and only one in four (25%) choose sunglasses from a reputable brand or supplier.

We saw the second season collection of the sunglasses and the debut collection of the optical eyewear recently in Sydney and love it! Made by the French Eyewear Manufacturers L'Amy, the quality is amazing and the colours are unique but very wearable.
